The machines which resulted from this remarkable breakthrough, called Technics, were quickly assimilated into human society, where they were used as slaves and sources of cheep labor by their human progenitors
Even so, the Technics were distrusted and demonized by the humans; for fear that they would rise up and rebel against their creators and masters.
In the year 0016, The Unitary World Government declared all Technics to be enemies of the state, and ordered the mass eradication of all self-aware artificial life. Within a year, only a few small pockets of Technic resistance remained…
